Warmer

I LOVE the warm weather we've been having for the last couple of days. There was this period of crazy crappy weather and now that's seem to have gone away completely :) I'm so happy. Warmer weather makes me much more happier.
I'm a guy that could be wearing jeans in 30+ degree weather? Why? Well, I love jeans for one but I don't really like showing my legs or feeling the wind against them. They're really white and I dunno, jeans are easier *laughs*
The last couple of days have been a bunch of fun. Sunday night was 80's night at Barrymore's, which I love to death. I'm a big 80's music whore. I grew up on the stuff and my mom was playing it all the time, so it kinda stuck with me. Also, it was a friends birthday get-together and I didn't wanna let her down even though I had to wait in line for almost an hour. Luckily, a friend came and waited with me for the last leg of it.
What surprised me was that, maybe it was the company, maybe it was just my good mood, but I had a REALLY great time........WITHOUT alcohol. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm no alcoholic. But sometimes I'm INSANELY shy and especially when it comes to dancing, alcohol kinda blurs things a bit and I'm not so self-conscious. I'm a really good dancer, but I'm always shy about dancing in public. And I'm an easy drunk too. 2 coolers and I'm good to go.
But that night, I didn't drink. And I danced!!!!!! Oh MAN did I dance.
I'm glad I was able to be there for my friend, cause only 3 of us were there with her, out of like, 15 that said they were coming.
Last night I hung out with my bestest friend and watched the first new Heroes in SO long. It was pretty good. Set up some stuff, and of course I was sad when it was over. I love that show, can't wait to see what happens.
Sadly, going over to my friends meant I wasn't able to talk to my boy. I did the same when I went out Sunday night, too. He wanted me to stay on and talk to him, but I was on my way out.
I sent him an email tho, telling him in not-so-few words how much I liked him and cared about him but he's still.......I guess I feel he's holding back.
"If I were to like someone right now, it'd be you" kind-of-stuff.
I mean, we haven't even hung out yet so it seems to be a normal kind of response.
But if he took the time this morning at 7 before class to write me a big long email about all kinds of stuff, does that at least mean I'm worth his time?

I dunno....sometimes I wish I could just like a guy and *shocker* have him like me back as much too.

Week

Well it's been a week abouts since I last blogged and while I think not a lot has happened, I'm having trouble immediately recalling things. Could be cause I've had WAY too much Starbucks :P

So birthday = birthday money and I decided I was gonna try my luck AGAIN at finding some new shoes. Hopefully some Chuck T's, but my luck in finding those in my size in a fun color or pattern that I liked was less than zero EVERY time in the past. I just wanted to get some new shoes.
When I hung out on Tuesday with Leenie I couldn't find any so I had given up for a bit.....and that lasted untilllllll.......Wednesday night *laughs*

I wanted shoes what can I say! *blush*

I was meeting my best friend for "Steak Wednesday" (it's our little weekly thing we do - I usually eat steak) that night so I figured I wouldn't mope around the apt but rather spend some time at the mall downtown. I wanted to talk to some friends at my old job and get some tax form stuff off of them so I killed some time doing that.
I also casually walked into a Foot Locker and saw they had a wider than usually variety of Chucks in their display.
So I checked them out and picked out two kinds, one that was black with a camo pattern and another one with a white sole that had a kewl brown plaid pattern. I asked the dude working the wall (VERY nice guy I have to say) if they have them in my size?
*jaw drops*
SURPRISINGLY they do!
Both pairs!
I have an ACTUAL choice!

I'm happy. I picked the brown plaid cause the black camo would have gotten boring.
I was VERY happy with my shoe karma and the shoe karma filtered it's way down into other things

See there's this boy.
And I like him a lot.
I've liked him for some time and he fell off the map for a while and we reconnected recently.

He broke up with someone. This idiot guy who had no idea how cute and special he is. So, he's kinda not really looking for anything right now.
But we talk every day and just today we talked for the first time on webcam.
He thought I was cute and a lot of the things he was saying were making me blush and smile a LOT. Which made him of course say he loved my smile, etc....

He has NO idea how incredibly adorable he is.
You know those guys where it's so special and innocent you don't immediately think of them in sexual ways?
Like, just holding their hand could make your heart beat 10X faster?
Yeah....

So we'll see how this goes *fingers crossed*

Results

Well, I thought the whole time that Larry Birkhead was the father of the baby.
The guy's been put through a media blender. Nice to see SOMEONE proven right.
So Easter Weekend, and Good Friday ANNNNNND my 25th Birthday have gone by in one supersized long weekend. It was nice to be home with my family and everyone but it was also kinda boring....
I never took for granted the things I could do easily in Ottawa like go to the mall or grab some fast food. I don't drive, so I was kinda isolated in my little small town.

I even ate ham for Easter supper. I normally hate ham with a passion but this time it was really good!!! My appetite for food has come back thank god and not soon enough. I was started to waste away. I just did not have any iota of an appetite this last month. Maybe now I can gain some weight back.
I got back into Ottawa on Monday (my birthday) and went out to see Grindhouse with my best friend. She had already seen it before, but she treated me to the movie and came out with me anyways. She's the best. I see her tomorrow for our weekly hang out night.
The movie was AWESOME! My fave part was the fake trailers which made me laugh SOOO hard.
My favorite one was for "Thanksgiving" :

"White Meat *pause for topless girl jiggling around on a trampoline* Dark Meat..........All will be carved"

Made me laugh SOOO hard.
I also kind of made the decision that night that I should change a few small things, mostly my hair. I've been lazy for the past year prettymuch and not given a damn about it and kind of grew it out into a skater-ish shaggy look. I liked it, it was okay, but I wanted a haircut I guess.
I got one tonight when I hung out with my friend C. I haven't seen C in like, a year (we saw Pirates of the Caribbean 2 the last time I saw her) so it was awesome to see her again, and hear her laugh. I was on a quest for some awesome size 8-1/2 Chucks but to no avail, I found none. I DID get an awesome short haircut though!
The woman that did it was very nice - Russian, I think, because she had a bit of an accent and listened to me even though I wasn't quite sure what I wanted, but I think it turned out GREAT!
We'll see if the boys like it or not.
I think I look pretty damn good.

First

Wow....this is my first post. I guess I should make it REALLY good I guess *laughs* But hmmm....let's see. I've never really done this blogging thing before. I've been told I'm good at writing and stuff so we'll see I guess.
What am I doing right now? Well, I went home to my parents house, which is an hour outside of Ottawa to just relax and chill out for the long weekend. I've got my laptop and I'm sitting at the kitchen table SUPRISINGLY able to use someone's wireless connection *laughs* I giggle cause this is a VERY small town and the thought that someone around this house might be using a wireless internet connection is kinda odd to think about.
I haven't been out to my parents house since Christmas. I should really come out here more often, but since I don't drive, getting a ride is sometimes problematic. My sister sometimes gives me a ride back home, but if I've got a lot of laundry to bring home and do (which I usually do) she makes a big hassle and her car is always filled with junk so there's barely enough room for MY body *shrugs*

I think I just needed to get out of Ottawa for this long weekend to just not think about my life in Ottawa and how it kinda sucks at the moment.
I know, I know. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, stop bitching right?
First step after the weekend is try and get a new job. I have a job currently, but it's only a weekend thing since my weekday job I had fired me around February and my financial and other situations have been thrown into chaos because of that. It's also made me very depressed and not wanting to well........try.
I really need to focus on things other than what I've been focusing on....

Oh hey, my jeans are done drying (I love jeans btw) so I should fold those.

More to come!!!
